Also, since we open the file in 'raw' mode, I suspect the file descriptor is not closed when the couch_file server dies. From erl -man file: "The raw option allows faster access to a file, because no Erlang process is needed to handle the file." Upgrading ibrowse from version 1.6.2 to 2.0.1. This version fixes a serious issue regarding streaming of chunked HTTP(S) responses. The issue is that the client occasionally gets blocked or receives a timeout (if inactivity_timeout parameter is given to ibrowse). Bumping ibrowse library to version 1.6.2 (latest).
